READ: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) First Division has junked the appeal for protest of businesswoman Aniway Baylon against the win of re-elected Mayor Rene Maglanque of Candaba town during the May 2022 polls.
The court order dated September 15, 2022 affirmed Maglanque’s win for his second consecutive term in office.
Baylon’s appeal for protest was junked after her camp failed to file their response to the court within the given 30-day period.
Baylon’s camp filed their appeal on June 7, 2022 after her protest lodged before the Regional Trial Court of San Fernando, Pampanga was summarily dismissed on June 2 due to its insufficiency in form and substance. | via Princess Clea Arcellaz
