Message From Municipal Mayor

Hon. Rene E. Maglanque
Elected since June 30, 2019
Welcome to the Official Website of the Municipality of Candaba!
We are now living in an era where technology is dubbed as a game-changer. You will be left behind should you not embrace it. It is a key ingredient that has proven to be the catalyst why we are now emerging as a technology-driven society.
Technology improves the way we communicate. Over the years, much has been changed in a level that digitization has been a top priority of both public and private entities.
As we strive towards a more progressive municipality, we are committed to harnessing the full advantages that communication technology may offer to us. With the establishment of our own website, it will serve as a platform where people may have a glimpse of the previous and forthcoming activities of the municipality, LGU’s history, organizational values, and information about the elected officials and other public servants.
Furthermore, this website will serve as an instrument that will facilitate open and transparent governance and promote more efficient delivery of public service.
In the service of men for the glory of God, the people of Candaba are one with me in promoting excellent leadership as we make use of communication technology. With utmost pride and conviction, we all say aloud “ TULONG TULONG SA PAGSULONG”.

MUNICIPALITY WITH EQUITY – EFFICIENCY – OPPORTUNITY
History of Candaba, Pampanga
Actually, Candaba Swamp was a lake-part of a chain of lakes that included Lake Canarem in Tarlac and Magabol Swamp in Pangasinan, both of which have also dried up due to silting from the Agno, Chico and Pampanga river network.
In 1939, anthropologist H. Otley Beyer found prehistoric burial sites in Porac; after World War II interrupted his work, he declared that Pampanga offered the best field for his next systematic exploration and that “the work should not be delayed.”
